This is herself. Officially Holbam Pearly Shannon who I’m told won Best in Breed at Crafts about 10 or more years ago. She was five years old when I got her. I named her Banjo after Australia’s finest bush poet, Banjo Paterson who wrote Waltzing Matilda.

I waited two years to get her. Two breeders turned me down for different reasons (I live alone and was working at the time + more) but Banjo gets the last laugh – she lives the life of Reilly!

I know I’m not unique in getting stopped in the street all the time by people who want to say hello to a paddy. Banjo milks it.
